Adriana Bodrero is an artist from
the Piedmont region of Italy who now works and
resides in the small Umbrian town Umbertide.
Following
a curriculum in art studies in Turin, Adriana
accepted a graphic design position at the
studio of Giò Minola,
where she refined her knowledge of calligraphy
and illustrative scratch drawing, which she would
reveal
ultimately on glass
in an technique application known as "Grisaglia"
The
following position with the advertising studio
of Ferrero S.pA of Pino Torinese immersed Adriana
in an environment with many talented professionals,
deepening her knowledge of various illustration
techniques.
After transferring to Umbria she
worked side by side as freelance graphic artist
while
apprenticing
in glass artistry, which soon became her primary
passion and occupation. From then on and with
growing interest, Adriana continues in the search
and experimentation
of this wonderful material, indispensable for
the
translation of her artistic sensibilities.
Open to the comparison
and collaboration with other artists, Adriana and
her companion Gianni Ramieri, a photographer (the
photos
featured on this site are his work), live along
with their son Martino, in Montecastelli. Her work is realized on the
basis of private and publicly commissioned.
